Tour Scraps
Keep some lead tape handy which can be put on the club face to influence the ball flight, for example weight on the toe of the club will promote a fade and visa versa. weight on the sole of the club will promote a higher ball flight. One needs to remember other than making the club heavier the shaft will tend to play a lot weaker too.

Choose a sand wedge/lob wedge that suits the condition of bunkers and fairways of the course you are playing on for example if the bunkers are hard or if the fairways are firm choose a wedge with low bounce but if the bunkers are fluffy and fairways lush and soft then choose a wedge with more bounce so it does not dig in.

When playing a new course the key is in and around the greens, so try and play several chips from different angles as well as putts from all around the greens. Do not forget to test out the bunkers too, the biggest difference in playing an alien course is the game from 50 yards in.
