17 MEMBERS RANKED IN WORLD’S TOP-200

Kuala Lumpur, August 24, 2010: A total of 17 Asian Tour members are currently occupying positions in the top-200 of the Official World Golf Ranking.

Asian Tour honorary member Y.E Yang heads the list of members at 35th position followed by countryman K.J Choi who is ranked 49th.

Welshman Rhys Davies is 53rd place followed by reigning Asian Tour number one Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand who is occupying 63rd place.

China’s Liang Wen-chong is a further rung back in 64th while Japan’s Hiroyuki Fujita is in 73rd and Tetsuji Hiratsuka in 76th place.

Fijian Vijay Singh, an honorary member, is 77th in the world followed by Korea’s rising star Noh Seung-yul who is ranked 101st.

Other members in the world’s top-200 are Marcus Fraser of Australia (118th), India’s Jeev Milkha Singh (129th), Australian Andrew Dodt (150th), South African Jbe Kruger (160th), Korea’s Bae Sang-moon (166th), India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar (169th) and Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat (196th).

India’s Arjun Atwal who won his maiden US PGA Tour title at the Wyndham Championship rose to 182nd in the world from his previous ranking of 450th.
