Aditya Khaitan starts in style

Kolkata, July 27, 2010: Kolkata’s favorite monsoon madness corporate golf tournament the KKN Group of Companies presented Telegraph Cup Golf in association with Senbo & Ballantine’s commenced today in near perfect conditions.

Clearly God has a soft spot for the sport of golf while there were some threatening dark clouds apart from providing a nice cover there were no disruptions in play.

Taking full advantage of this near perfect day Aditya Khitan of Williamson Magor “A” recorded after his one hole adjustment a round of 67 to open up a 6 stroke lead over McLeod Russel “A” for whom G Bhuyan returned a 73. McLeod & Company represented by Prdeep Bajoria are currently in third place at 76.

In Division II V S Gulia for Goodricke B with a 77 had the days best score with Cognizant Technologies represented by Sajid Hussain with 84 in second place.

For new entrants G I Security Kabir Luthra returned a 79 and they are well ahead of second placed Ichiban Facility Management for whom J Mukherjee returned an 84.

The Telegraph Challenge Cup was keenly contested and one of the youngest players on show Vedant Jaitha playing for EMAAR MGF returned the day’s best score of 37 stableford points narrowly ahead of Ajay Rathor playing for Senbo Blue who had 36 points.

The days best nett scores in division 1 was won by SN Hussain with a 58 nett, Division 2 VS Gulia had a 57 nett and in division 3 J Mukherjee a 60 nett. Vedant Jaitah won the days best in the challenge cup with 37points.

The Ballantine’s Longest Drive of the day was won by Kabir Luthra of G I Security.
