The highlights of last week - 

• Jeev breaks into the world top 100, eyes the top 50, and is guaranteed a berth in the US Masters !!! Way to go Jeev !!

Last week has been a great week for Indian golf !! Here are the highlights -

• Jeev wins the Volvo Masters !!! Congratulations Jeev .. Keep it going !!
• Jyoti Randhawa wins the inaugural BILT Open which was played at Delhi

Our Indian golfers are making us proud, both on the international circuit as well as within the country !!

This week the sections to look out for are the "Tips" - we have a great new exercise which is simple, but which will do wonders for your game . do try it out and let us know your comments and feedback !

The "Rules Doctor" has been updated with two new rules, which are designed to help you out, and the "Jokes" section has some new additions - have a look and enjoy your dose of laughter !!

• Jyoti Randhawa won the Hero Honda Indian Open which was played at Delhi . way to go Jyoti !!!
• Jeev still heading the UBS Order of Merit with Jyoti moving up to 14^th place, with the other Indians also well represented.

The "Fitness and Yoga" section has been updated and we look forward to your views on the same once you try them out !!

The "Contest" and "Lucky Dip" prize winners will be announced soon , so all those of you who haven't tried your luck yet , give it a shot !!

Last week's highlights - 

• The DLF Women's Professional Golf Tour being played at the Qutab Golf Course with Simi Mehra Guffin clinching the first leg, with Shalini Malik and Nonita Lal Qureshi coming 2^nd and 3^rd respectively.
• The new PGTI has been formed and details are available in the " News Archive " section on the 11^th of October, 2006

Our sections are constantly being updated, and this week the ones to look out for are the "Ladies Club" , where we have some special tips for the ladies . try them out !!

The "Equipment Reviews" has been updated too with a special review by one of our own junior golfers . this is a first hand review, so do go through it and let us know if you share his views . or if not , send in your review and we shall put up the same.  

The "Protouch Rankings" have been updated as well, so have a look to see how our Indian golfers are doing .

We love hearing from all of you, so do send in your news, views, comments and feedback and anything else that you might wish to share with us .

Last week's highlights - 

• Jeev still heads the UBS Order of Merit
• Chandigarh's Rahul Bakshi defeated Rashid Khan on the first play-off hole to clinch the senior Category 'A' title of the Sunfeast Chandigarh Junior/ Sub-Junior Golf Championship, which concluded at the par-72 Chandigarh Golf Club.

The " Golf Calcutta " section has been updated which will be of special interest to the Tollygunge Club members . the handicap page has been updated and also the last prize distribution results are up.

The " Mind Game " section contains a new article, which aims to help you hit a great shot EVERYTIME !! Do have a read through and try it out !!

Its been a great week for Indian golf !!!! 

• Gaurav Ghei won the Mercuries Taiwan Masters, after a 11 year long wait !!!
• Kolkata's own local boy Rahil Gangjee finished 2^nd in the same tournament !!

Great going guys and we hope to see more Indians finishing at the top !!!

We have updated "We Are The Future" ..the first in our series of interviews with our young and upcoming juniors .. get to know them !!

TaylorMade has launched a new driver, details of which are available in our "Golf Shop" . have a look and call or email in for enquiries !!

Thank you for your support for the golftrade Sports Foundation .. the names of those who have contributed are up on the "Appeal" section. We shall be keeping you updated on the progress of these youngsters.

The highlight of the week is that Calcutta's own Rahil Gangjee finished 3^rd at the Korean Open !! Way to go Rahil and we expect to see much more of you !!

The Protouch Ranking has been updated and we now see Rahil climbing ahead of S.S.P Chowrasia and Amandeep Johl dropping down while the others retain their existing positions.

The golftrade Sports Foundation is doing well and we now have a total of 8 juniors under us. Any and all help would be welcome and much appreciated !!

Last week's highlights -

·        Jeev is currently heading the UBS Order of Merit

Also the golftrade Sports Foundation foundation is being launched, which will enable and help underpriviledged and talented juniors to pursue their dreams in making a career in sports. They will be provided basic education, top of the line coaching, financial support, apparel and incentives, thereby giving them a chance to let their talent lead them to a better life. We request everyone to donate their old golf clubs, balls and golf equipment and any donations big or small, which will help get the juniors started on their way. Its time again to see what happened in the world of golf last week -

• The Women's PGA has been launched and details are available in our "Ladies Club" section
• Shiv Kapur finished 5th at the Barclays Singapore Open Crown.

As you know our sections keep getting updated and the ones to look out for this week are Protouch Rankings, We Are The Future, Seniors Golf , Golf Calcutta, Ladies Club, Rules Doctor, Mind Game and Q&A . so there's plenty of reading material for you this week !!

We have a new addition to the Lucky Dip - movie tickets to be won every week at INOX !! Rush in your entries and every week we will have one lucky winner who will be given two tickets !! We have started the golftrade Sports Foundation, which will enable and help underpriviledged and talented juniors to pursue their dreams in making a career in sports. Last week's highlights were -

• Rahil Gangjee came a joint 3rd at the Brunei Open - congratulations Rahil !!
• The South City RCGC Inter School Golf 2006 saw Calcutta International School, La Martiniere for Boys and Don Bosco among the winners - There were 80 juniors playing the event which speaks volumes of the development of junior golf in the city over the last 3 years.

The PGAI TSM controversy continues and as promised this is where you will get the latest news - check our news archive on the 22^nd of August for the last update - more as and when it unfolds.

The "Jokes" section had been updated so have a look , and get your much needed dose of humour !!! Any jokes that you might want to send in would be welcome . and it will be put up on the site . it doesn't hurt to spread the laughter !!

We have another new prize which is going to be added to the "Lucky Dip" so watch out for that !! Also what's stopping you from trying your luck for the current prizes ??!! Its been a quiet week, though not necessarily a dull one. Our Indian golfers like Amandeep Johl, Gaurav Ghei and the rest gave it their best shot at the Crowne Plaza Open, which was played at Sanya, China.

Keep watching our news section for the latest news on the ongoing PGAI and TSM controversy .. things are heating up on that front and this is where you will get the news first.

The Inter School Golf Tournament is to be held at the RCGC on the 26th and 27th of August, 2006. The tournament is sponsored by the RCGC, and co-sponsored by golftrade, Taylor Made and Eldyne Group. This is the place to watch out for young and budding talent, so its an eagerly awaited event !

As promised the site is constantly being updated and improved. We've added two new sections ,  " Hole in One Club" and "Online Handicap" . the online handicap is going to be specially useful to those who are not members of any golf clubs, and yet need a handicap for the times they do play - visit the section for details. And for those of you who've gotten yourself a hole in one , do send in the details and make your presence felt !!

The sections which have been updated this week are Tips , Corporate Talk and Tour Scraps ... so do have a look .

Also the Lucky Dip has something new added - for details you'll have to visit the section - and send in your entries !!

We've been getting a lot of contest and lucky dip entries - but no feedback, views , articles and tips .. We'd love to hear from you !!

Its time again to recap the highlights of last week -

• Gaganjeet Bhullar won the Royal Challenge Golden Greens Amateur Tournament . this is his 3^rd consecutive win on the amateur. Congratulations !!
• Madhya Bharat Papers Ltd were the coveted winners of this years edition of The Telegraph Merchants Cup

We have introduced two new sections - "Seniors Golf" and "Tour Scraps" .. Both are just what their names suggest . do have a look !

Also our various sections are constantly being updated every month - the new ones to watch out for this week are Tips, Fitness and Yoga, Equipment Reviews and Kolkata Club News, besides of course the two new sections mentioned above.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve and make our site grow, and you can expect to see constant and positive changes in the months to come.

Last week's highlights -

• Jeev finished with a 79 to tie for 21^st place in Japan and he is the also the highest ranked Indian in the world ranking points.
• Shiv Kapur moves up to 100^th position on the European Order of Merit.

We have just completed one year of our existence and it has been a very rewarding year thanks to all of you !! This is just the beginning and we are counting on each one of you for the continued support.

We have our new Lucky Dip section - amazing prizes to be won ! Also the contest has been changed , so all those of you who have won before , try your luck again ! And for those who haven't won yet - go on and enter !

A new section has been introduced - The Ladies Club ! We felt the women needed to have their say too , and the Ladies Club is the perfect forum for them . ladies . send in your views , news , opinions , feedback , articles , suggestions and what have you ! • Jeev finishes 9^th with a superb round of 65 in Japan.
• Gaganjeet Bhullar won the Royal Challenge Northern India Amateur Golf Championship, played at the par-72 Classic Golf Resort at Gurgaon on Friday.

• Shiv Kapur - the Asian Tour stalwart carded a one-over-par 73 in the second round at Royal Liverpool to miss the halfway cut by two strokes despite a courageous attempt where he birdied two of his closing three holes
• Jeev finishes 5^th in Japan in the Sega Sammy Cup
• Atwal was tied 9th after 9 holes in the BC open on the USPGA tour
